Celebrating the Spirit of Competition

Legends of Lime Rock Highlights

An Evening of Drivers, Cars and Stories

Skip Barber and Fred Simeone Lime Rock Park

This Labor Day, the Legendary Lime Rock Park, will celebrate it’s 60th anniversary. This premier site for road racing in America is remembered by many as having been a legendary track and key player in the “Glory Days” of racing. Many a venerable driver, even those from the beginning, fondly recall being a part of the history of racing when a professional could drive to the track, race, and drive home. Fortunately, there is a concentration of such historic drivers, nearby in the Delaware Valley – where the Sports Car Club of America, really got its start. We thought it would be best to honor both Lime Rock and those Legendary drivers, as a preliminary to the celebrations at the track.

We couldn’t have hoped for a better response. On Saturday, August 26,  IMSA and SVRA champ Dave Nicholas took the podium as emcee and took the audience on a journey back in time with a panel of racing legends. His charming repartee brought out the best from our assemblage of honored guests.
